Let’s change the world together

Hi!

If you’ve come to this page on the internet, odds are good you’re interested in expanding your capabilities to make an impact on the world.

Maybe you’re interested in emerging technology,

or high-impact learning,

or organizational transformation,

or maybe you’re interested in mitigating climate change and making an impact on the world to support freedom and ecological sustainability.

Me too.

My areas of interest

In the year 2020, I’m most interested in and can offer assistance with topics like:

  • Strategic planning and foresight (e.g. for a new project)
  • Creating knowledge streams for continuous learning and leadership (e.g. for an email newsletter or researching a new function in an organization)
  • Maturity models and organizational transformation (e.g. for a new or stuck project)
  • Extracting insights from data & information (e.g. for the discovery or optimization phase of a project)
  • Launching new projects with maximum impact
  • Relationship-based, high-integrity, influencer relations (I can probably introduce you to some really interesting people.)

My qualifications:

Since 2005, I have learned a ton through the following experiences:

  • Managing analyst relations, competitive intelligence, and social marketing at a tech startup named a leader in 5 Forrester Waves, 1 Gartner Magic Quadrant, and valued at over $2B. (Sprinklr). That’s where I work today, since 2016. My focus there is on building a culture of learning, while helping drive the business’s growth.
  • Co-founding and leading an investor-backed search engine for subject matter experts and influencers (Little Bird) that was used by organizations ranging from the Gates Foundation to Walmart to Disney to small nonprofits and investigative journalists.
  • Breaking hundreds of news stories working as a journalist focused on emerging technologies and their social implications. I was the first writer hired at industry-leading site TechCrunch and co-editor of the NYTimes-syndicated ReadWriteWeb. I never lived in Silicon Valley or San Francisco, but I built relationships and used data and tools creatively. I was the first journalist in the world to break news stories by monitoring Twitter. Over the years, my work was cited or quoted by the Wall St. Journal (10 times), the New York Times, BBC, NPR, PBS, ABC, CBS, MNSBC, many other media organizations, the United Nations, and the American Medical Association.
  • Throughout this time, I have also worked with non-profit organizations on issues like climate change, economic, and racial justice.

Is there something I can help you with? Want to talk about it and find out? Let’s compare notes and create some emergent abundance together. Send me an email at marshall@marshallk.com and we can schedule a conversation.

Thanks and take care!
